Phoenix PRSA offers numerous educational and networking events year round, enabling PR and communications professionals to advance their careers and stay current with the latest industry news and developments.

The public is always welcome to attend Phoenix PRSA events, and chapter members receive
discounts on all events.

Networking Events

Phoenix PRSA hosts one networking event per quarter. These events typically include two happy hours, the annual Valley Communicator’s Night in partnership with IABC Phoenix and the annual Holiday Mixer.

Networking events are a great opportunity to meet, re-connect and network with other public relations professionals in the Valley. For more information about networking events, please contact
Ashley Oakes Phoenix PRSA Networking Chair.

Media Breakfasts

Approximately six times per year, Phoenix PRSA welcomes a panel of journalists and local media heavyweights from various industries to join its members for breakfast and an interactive discussion. Panelists provide insights as to how their outlets work, how their industry is evolving and how public relations professionals can best tell their stories.

Each breakfast includes ample time for networking, questions and social media engagement. To learn more about upcoming breakfast and volunteer opportunities, contact Beth Cochran or Kendra Shultz, PRSA media breakfast co-chairs.

Professional Development Luncheons

Phoenix PRSA hosts bi-monthly luncheons featuring notable guest speakers and panelists that educate, inform and provide insight into issues impacting the industry. They are typically held on the fourth Thursday of every other month. Past luncheon topics include media relations, ethics, social media strategies, consumer trends, and community relations. To learn more, contact luncheon volunteers Veronica Graves.

Publicity Summit

Phoenix PRSA organizes the annual Publicity Summit in collaboration with the Phoenix Chapter of the
Society of Professional Journalists. This event provides PR practitioners with an opportunity to meet
journalists face-to-face, gather insights on story opportunities and network with fellow practitioners.
The one-day event is typically held at the Memorial Union of Arizona State University, with lunch
provided to attendees. To learn more, contact Virginia Anderson, Publicity Summit chair.
