Phoenix PRSA Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are designed to meet the specific networking and educational needs of PR and communications professionals. To learn more about SIG meetings and volunteer opportunities, contact the group chairs mentioned below. All SIG meetings are free to PRSA members, $5 for non-members.
New Pros
The Phoenix PRSA New Pros Group is comprised of members with fewer than five years of professional PR experience. It provides career assistance, mentor relationships and opportunities for professional development, training and resource sharing.
The New Pros host monthly happy hours at rotating locations Valley-wide, enabling members to connect with seasoned PR professionals, journalists and related experts who can help advance their careers and accelerate their industry knowledge.
The New Pros have developed a mentor program with the PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter at Arizona State University. Members have the opportunity to share their experience with college students, and plan educational events and programming.
To learn more, visit the New Pros Facebook page. You can also contact Page Englert or Katherine Thornhill.
Master Practitioners
The Phoenix PRSA Master Practitioners Group has been formed to advance the practice of senior level PR professionals. Each member has at least 15 years of PR experience.
The Masters meet on the third Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. at rotating locations around the Valley. They discuss topics relevant to their industries, including the economic impact of legislation, social media strategy and networking with media.
