This professional development luncheon panel will be made up of folks from different industries, moderated by a former broadcast reporter. The purpose of the discussion is to dig into what makes a good story – what has been successful and identify commonalities across industries and what’s unique to each industry.

The panelists will include:

2017 Copper Anvil Submissions DUE Friday, July 14!

PRSA Phoenix invites all public relations and related industry professionals in Arizona to submit their best campaign or tactic. To be eligible, at least some part of the project must have occurred in 2016 and have been completed by April 30, 2017.
Download the complete 2016 Call for Entries Packet, which includes the Entry Guidelines, 2016 Award Categories, and Entry Form. All entries and support materials must be submitted online via DropBox. No hardcopy entries will be accepted.
Entry Fees: Payments can be made here 

  • Final Deadline: $75 for Members, $90 for Non-members.
  • Entries must be uploaded to Dropbox by 3 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017.

Copper Anvil and Award of Merit recipients will be announced at the Copper Anvil Awards awards ceremony on Sept. 7, 2017.

Networking Events

We host one networking event per quarter. These events typically include two happy hours, a joint event with the International Association of Business Communicators in Phoenix and the annual Holiday Mixer. For more information, please contact Scott Huscher or Amy McConnell.

Media Breakfasts

Approximately three to six times per year, we welcome a panel of journalists and local media heavyweights from various industries to join its members for breakfast and an interactive discussion. To learn more about upcoming breakfast and volunteer opportunities, contact Kim Cole or LaTrisha Woods.

Luncheons

We host bi-monthly professional development luncheons featuring notable guest speakers and panelists that educate, inform and provide insight into issues impacting the industry. New Pros Happy Hour

Our New Pros Group is comprised of members with fewer than five years of professional PR experience. It provides career assistance, mentor relationships and opportunities for professional development, training and resource sharing. New Pros happy hours are held regularly.
