What’s YOUR New Year’s resolution for 2018? Are you looking to broaden your knowledge and master PR skills? Looking to connect with other PR professionals? Get that raise or promotion you’ve been eyeing? PRSA Phoenix is here to help YOU achieve these professional goals.
Join us on Wednesday, January 24 for a happy hour networking event at The Main Ingredient Ale House & Café. We will be toasting our latest APR, Heather Vana, editorial director for Avnet, who recently earned her accreditation. For those interested in learning more about the APR designation, the PRSA Phoenix APR chair will be on hand to answers questions and talk about resources provided by the chapter.
Already an APR? The event is free! We hope you attend to celebrate our newest member and share your experience in earning the APR.
Have boards or organizations asked you for a headshot? Are your selfies not quite making the cut for your LinkedIn profile photo? Maybe you just don’t love your current professional headshot. In case you missed this event last time, PRSA Phoenix is coming to the rescue with another happy hour networking and professional headshot event. Kick off 2018 right while enjoy small bites, connecting with other PR pros and have your professional headshot taken by professional photographer Darrylee Cohen of Haute Photography all at once.
Price of admission includes one professional headshot and light hors d’oeuvres.
Some of our year-long events include media breakfasts, networking events, professional development luncheons and happy hours for new professionals. The public is always welcome to attend and chapter members receive discounts on all events.
We host one networking event per quarter. These events typically include two happy hours, a joint event with the International Association of Business Communicators in Phoenix and the annual Holiday Mixer.
Approximately three to six times per year, we welcome a panel of journalists and local media heavyweights from various industries to join its members for breakfast and an interactive discussion.
We host bi-monthly professional development luncheons featuring notable guest speakers and panelists that educate, inform and provide insight into issues impacting the industry. They are typically held on the fourth Thursday of every other month.
Our New Pros Group is comprised of members with fewer than five years of professional PR experience. It provides career assistance, mentor relationships and opportunities for professional development, training and resource sharing. New Pros happy hours are held regularly.
