Do you have that dream job in mind, but can’t find it? Take control of your career at the next PRSA New Pros event! Learn how three different PR practitioners in the Valley created the jobs they wanted instead of accepting the job description that was posted. You’ll learn how to navigate your career and create your own job. Enjoy appetizers and drinks as well as an agency overview from the host, BIG YAM.
New Pros is a special interest group for PRSA Phoenix members in their first five years of their career. PRSA New Pros provides resources and networking opportunities to help public relations professionals build critical knowledge, learn new skills and advance their careers.
Do you want to get in front of Valley media members, but making it to a media breakfast isn't in the cards? We've got you covered with our upcoming Media Happy Hour.
Begin the evening networking with other PR Pros, then stick around for a panel discussion with area TV reporters and producers. We'll have a full list soon.
Some of our year-long events include media breakfasts, networking events, professional development luncheons and happy hours for new professionals. The public is always welcome to attend and chapter members receive discounts on all events.
We host one networking event per quarter. These events typically include two happy hours, a joint event with the International Association of Business Communicators in Phoenix and the annual Holiday Mixer. For more information, please contact Scott Huscher or Amy McConnell.
Approximately three to six times per year, we welcome a panel of journalists and local media heavyweights from various industries to join its members for breakfast and an interactive discussion. To learn more about upcoming breakfast and volunteer opportunities, contact Kim Cole or LaTrisha Woods.
We host bi-monthly professional development luncheons featuring notable guest speakers and panelists that educate, inform and provide insight into issues impacting the industry. They are typically held on the fourth Thursday of every other month. For more information contact Melany Stroupe, APR or Candace Romero.
Our New Pros Group is comprised of members with fewer than five years of professional PR experience. It provides career assistance, mentor relationships and opportunities for professional development, training and resource sharing. New Pros happy hours are held regularly.
