The Phoenix Award
Presentation of the Phoenix Award occurs when a panel of past PRSA Phoenix chapter Presidents and other select members vote to honor an executive officer or community leader who, through the daily exercise of business principles and public service, best demonstrates an understanding of, support for, and advancement of the highest tenets of the public relations practice. The Phoenix Award recognizes a CEO or business or community leader outside of the public relations, marketing and advertising industries for supporting and elevating the practice of public relations. Some of the qualities and characteristics must include:
- Understanding of public relations
- Support of public relations in business and the community
- Incorporation of the best practices of public relations into business operations
- Community service
- Community outreach
- Community involvement
Should the committee select an honoree from those nominated, the Phoenix Award will be presented at the annual PRSA Phoenix Copper Anvils Awards Ceremony.
